The development of high-end bearings is a top priority

The "Twelfth Five-Year Plan for the Development of Mechanical Basic Parts, Basic Manufacturing Processes and Basic Materials Industries" clearly defines high-speed, precise, heavy-duty bearings and other mechanical basic parts as the focus of development during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period. The industry focuses on improving performance, reliability and life, and strives to make it reach or approach the international advanced level. The Plan also pointed out that with the support of policies, by 2020, the sales of the bearing industry will reach 228 billion yuan, and the average annual growth rate of the industry will be between 12% and 15%, including high-end, precision, and heavy-duty high-end Bearings will grow faster.

Bearings are important and critical basic components in the equipment manufacturing industry, which directly determine the performance, quality and reliability of major equipment and mainframe products, and are known as the "heart" components of equipment manufacturing. After years of development, China's bearing industry has formed a considerable scale. The national bearing industry's output value in 2010 was about 130 billion yuan, ranking third in the world. Although the development scale of China's bearing industry has been very large, most of them are concentrated in the low-end, and in the field of high-end bearing manufacturing, there is still a considerable gap between China and developed countries. The Secretary General of China Bearing Industry Association Wang Quanqing also made it clear that the development speed of China's high-end bearings could not keep up with the development speed of the main engine. For example, China has mastered the technology of high-speed EMUs with independent intellectual property rights, but the supporting bearings also basically rely on imports. At present, most of the high-speed bearings produced by domestic bearing companies can only meet the 150 km-180 km trains, and the high-speed rail bearings in European and American countries can meet the needs of trains with speeds of 350 km-400 km / h. Therefore, the current domestic EMUs supporting 200 km / h High-speed iron bearings basically rely on high-priced imports.

Based on the fact that China's high-end bearings are lagging behind, the Plan clearly states that it will give full play to the guiding role of industrial policies, raise the industry entry threshold, and curb low-level redundant construction; give the "three bases" industry financial and tax support policies, including the bearing industry, Implement tax exemption policies for key components and raw materials; study and formulate policies to encourage users to adopt "three basic" new products and new technologies. With the increase of policy support, I believe that China's bearing industry will usher in the spring of development, and it will definitely accelerate the localization process of high-end bearings, providing a solid foundation for the complete localization of major equipment manufacturing in China.
